Carlton Wier, a proud Marine Corps veteran and Tallahassee native, is graduating with a degree in interdisciplinary social science. His FSU experience, enriched by the university’s rich history and vibrant community, has prepared him for an impactful future. Wier plans to establish a business or organization dedicated to supporting veterans, law enforcement, first responders, and their families, embodying the spirit of service and leadership cultivated during his time at Florida State University.
Zahria Moore, a first-generation college graduate, is earning her degree in criminology with a minor in African American studies. Her journey highlights the transformative power of FSU’s academic programs and its nurturing support systems, particularly through the CARE program and Unconquered Scholars. Moore’s vibrant university life, marked by enthusiastic participation in football season and spontaneous campus events, shaped her path toward a career journey as a youth counselor at a juvenile detention center, aiming to positively impact the criminal justice system.
Brody Green, a psychology graduate from Lake City, Florida, discovered his true calling after an initial interest in finance. Inspired by his mother, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Green shifted his academic focus to address mental health challenges, reflecting a deep commitment to societal well-being. Danielle Morabito, a distinguished doctoral student in psychology, has made significant contributions to trauma research, evidenced by over 30 peer-reviewed articles and a prestigious National Institute of Mental Health grant. Her dissertation investigated tonic immobility and its implications for trauma-related disorders, showcasing profound academic excellence. As she completes a clinical internship, Morabito prepares to join the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as a tenure-track assistant professor, solidifying her path in higher education and research.
Grace Bayliss, a two-time FSU alumna, is graduating with her Master of Science in Information Technology. Her experiences, including an internship with FSU ITS, demonstrate the practical application of her studies and the importance of teamwork.
