Sally’s life was abruptly cut short following a devastating car collision last Wednesday, July 23. The accident occurred on the A40 between Llandeilo and Carmarthen, as she was returning home from the esteemed Royal Welsh Show in Builth Wells. Her untimely death at such a young age has left a profound void within her family and the wider Pembrokeshire community.
Deeply woven into the fabric of local agricultural life, Sally and her family held strong affiliations with Martletwy YFC. This connection highlights the tight-knit nature of rural communities and the significant role youth organizations play in fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose among young people in the region.
In response to the tragedy, Pembrokeshire YFC has taken proactive steps to support its members and the broader community. The organization is actively collaborating with the DPJ Foundation, a respected charity dedicated to mental health in the agricultural sector, underscoring the importance of addressing emotional well-being during times of crisis.
Further extending this vital network of care, Pembrokeshire YFC is also partnering with Sandy Bear Children’s Bereavement Charity. This collaboration ensures that comprehensive bereavement support is accessible not only to YFC members but also to other young individuals and families across Pembrokeshire and its surrounding areas, demonstrating a commitment to collective healing.
