A prominent hairstylist, whose clientele boasts some of the biggest names in entertainment, has been taken into custody following grave accusations. Ryan Pearl, a figure renowned in the beauty industry with celebrity clients including Hailey Bieber, Jake Paul, and Sophie Turner, was arrested in Coconut Grove, a suburb southwest of downtown Miami, on Wednesday night.
The investigation into Pearl began after a vigilant mother discovered unusual money deposits in her daughter’s Apple Wallet account. Further inspection revealed a series of “alarming” text messages exchanged between the 37-year-old stylist and her young daughter, prompting immediate concern and action.
Law enforcement swiftly intervened, with Miami police initiating an undercover operation. A detective, posing as the 15-year-old minor, took control of the teenager’s phone, setting the stage for direct communication with the accused stylist.
During these controlled conversations, authorities allege that Pearl engaged in deeply inappropriate conduct. He reportedly made explicit sexual remarks and transmitted explicit photographs, fully aware that he was communicating with an individual he believed to be a minor.
A significant piece of evidence cited in the detective’s arrest report, obtained by Local 10 News, indicates that Pearl sent a nude photograph of himself from his couch, escalating the severity of the digital interactions.
In an attempt to confirm the minor’s age and intent, the undercover detective sent a revealing text to Pearl: “I am very shy please don’t, do U care that I am 15? How old R U? Explain things to me, I only know things from my friends when they talk.” This interaction aimed to solidify the allegations of communication with a minor.
The charges against the Redken brand ambassador are extensive and severe. Inmate records indicate Pearl faces multiple offenses, including possession of cocaine, contributing to the delinquency of a child, using a computer to seduce a child into engaging in sexual conduct, traveling to meet a child after computer-luring, and two counts of electronically transmitting harmful content to a minor.
This shocking development sends ripples through the entertainment and beauty industries, as a once-respected figure now stands accused of deeply disturbing crimes. The case underscores crucial discussions around online safety and the protection of vulnerable individuals from digital predators.
