Elegoo’s “ELEGOO With Her” initiative concludes its first phase, a landmark program empowering women creators globally through 3D printing. This initiative underscores the transformative power of accessible technology in fostering innovation.
The program saw significant interest, attracting over 110 sign-ups and culminating in 30 final participants from 17 diverse countries. A key success metric was the high proportion of newcomers, with over 70% of participants being new to 3D printing, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in broadening access.
Launched at Formnext 2024, “ELEGOO With Her” was meticulously guided by a panel of eight distinguished female designers and makers. Their collective expertise provided invaluable mentorship and hands-on workshops, shaping the participants’ journey.
The creative outputs from the program were diverse and impactful, ranging from innovative STEM kits designed to empower young girls in education to intricately detailed 3D-printed lamps inspired by early 20th-century aesthetics. These projects vividly illustrated 3D printing’s vast potential across home decor, fashion, cosplay, and educational fields.
Reflecting on her experience, Janet Zagah, a renewable energy entrepreneur and program participant, shared her initial excitement and subsequent challenges with 3D printing. She emphasized that the workshops, mentorship, and supportive community provided not just technical skills, but crucial confidence to build and lead.
Kinnera Putti, a mobile developer and fellow participant, highlighted the significance of an inclusive program spearheaded by a prominent company like Elegoo. She expressed hope that the tangible creations would inspire others to explore their own creative endeavors with 3D printing technology.
Coco Lee, Brand Director of Elegoo, affirmed the company’s core belief in universal accessibility to 3D printing. She underscored how the displayed projects exemplify the profound impact achievable when women embrace technology to innovate and enhance lives beyond their immediate scope. Elegoo’s commitment to reliability and ease of use ensures its products enable diverse individuals to actualize their creative visions.
While this initial phase concludes, the “ELEGOO With Her” journey continues its momentum. Elegoo has generously made its comprehensive workshops publicly available online, ensuring wider reach and ongoing learning. The next significant showcase for the participants’ work is scheduled for Berlin this September, promising to further inspire women to engage in creative pursuits through technology.
