Liverpool Unveils Striking 2025-26 Home & Away Kits for New Season

Liverpool Football Club has officially kicked off an exciting new chapter, unveiling not one, but two of their 2025-26 jerseys at a spectacular launch event at Anfield. This highly anticipated reveal marks the beginning of a significant 10-year kit supply deal with Adidas, setting a fresh tone for the club’s identity on and off the pitch. The new home and away football kits are designed to resonate with both heritage and contemporary style, generating considerable buzz among fans and the wider Premier League community.

This landmark agreement with Adidas signifies a profound strategic move for Liverpool FC, solidifying a long-term partnership with one of the global giants in sportswear. Such extended deals are crucial for clubs of Liverpool’s stature, providing stability in merchandising and allowing for consistent brand development through meticulously crafted sports fashion. The collaboration is expected to bring innovative designs while honoring the rich history of the Reds.

The return to Adidas for Liverpool marks the third time the club has partnered with the German brand. Their initial collaboration from 1985 to 1996 saw the Reds secure three First Division league titles, cementing a period of domestic dominance. A second successful stint between 2006 and 2012 added further silverware, including the FA Cup and League Cup, underscoring Adidas’s historical association with Liverpool’s triumphs and iconic football kits.

The inaugural home kit of this new Adidas era is a masterclass in classic simplicity. Departing from last season’s intricate geometric patterns and yellow accents, the 2025-26 home jersey embraces a straightforward, vibrant red adorned with clean white trim. This minimalist approach offers a timeless aesthetic, allowing the club’s iconic crest to take center stage and truly reflect the traditions of Liverpool FC.

Design connoisseurs will note that the shield-shaped white piping outlining the torso subtly echoes the design elements seen on the Warrior-produced kit worn by Liverpool in the 2014-15 season. However, it’s widely speculated that the true inspiration for this classic revival stems from the immensely popular Adidas home shirt from the 2006-08 period, a fan favorite renowned for its clean lines and powerful simplicity.

The 2025-26 away kit continues this theme of understated elegance, with Adidas crafting a smart, yet perhaps intentionally uncomplicated, white jersey. This strip is tastefully finished with minimalist red and black detailing, ensuring a versatile and modern look. The design prioritizes wearability and broad appeal, reflecting a “straight bat” approach to contemporary sports fashion in football.

Despite its apparent simplicity, the away kit incorporates several subtle, meaningful touches. A standout detail is the clever reframing of the famous Liver Bird crest, a delicate nod to the distinctive eyebrow-shaped roof arch of the Main Stand at Anfield as it appeared in the early 1900s. This intricate detail connects the kit deeply to the club’s spiritual home and its rich heritage.

Both the new home and away football kits are set to make their highly anticipated debut appearances in early August. The home strip will be first seen on the pitch during Liverpool men’s team’s upcoming double-header friendly matches at Anfield, offering fans a first glimpse of the team in their new attire. The away kit will then receive its maiden run-out in the Community Shield at Wembley the following week, launching the new season in style.
