A proud graduate of Laurel Run High School in 1948, Arthur carried the values of his upbringing throughout his career. Arthur dedicated a significant portion of his professional life to two prominent local establishments. For two decades, he was a valued employee at Central Slipper Shoe Company in Wilkes-Barre, contributing to the regional economy. Following this, he transitioned to Liquid Carbonic in Laurel Run, where he served as a trans filler for 22 years, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his work. His personal life was profoundly shaped by family, though he also experienced significant loss. Arthur was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, who passed away in 2011. He also mourned the loss of his daughter, Margaret Dianne Searfoss, and several siblings: brothers James, William, Richard, and Jerry Searfoss, as well as sisters Elizabeth Kohlis, Bessie Zendzon, and Mamie Dominick.
