Born on October 13, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre, Arthur’s life journey began as the son of the late Andrew and Mamie Glasson Searfoss, contributing to the rich tapestry of Pennsylvania history.

A proud graduate of Laurel Run High School in 1948, Arthur carried the values of his upbringing throughout his career. This period shaped his character, preparing him for the responsibilities and joys that lay ahead, forging strong bonds within his local community and establishing roots deep in Buck Township PA.
Arthur dedicated a significant portion of his professional life to two prominent local establishments. For two decades, he was a valued employee at Central Slipper Shoe Company in Wilkes-Barre, contributing to the regional economy. Following this, he transitioned to Liquid Carbonic in Laurel Run, where he served as a trans filler for 22 years, showcasing his versatility and commitment to his work. His career reflected a consistent work ethic, a hallmark of his enduring legacy.
His personal life was profoundly shaped by family, though he also experienced significant loss. Arthur was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, who passed away in 2011. He also mourned the loss of his daughter, Margaret Dianne Searfoss, and several siblings: brothers James, William, Richard, and Jerry Searfoss, as well as sisters Elizabeth Kohlis, Bessie Zendzon, and Mamie Dominick. These losses undoubtedly left an indelible mark on his spirit, yet he persevered with grace.

He is survived by his three devoted daughters: Donna Marie Olson of Parsons, Pennsylvania; Carrie Jo Searfoss of Buchanan, Georgia; and Robin An McGrady of Rockmart, Georgia.
