Hundreds flocked to the sprawling Dower Field, transforming it into a bustling hub of activity where delicious fare and tasty drinks flowed freely. Beyond the gastronomic delights, the glorious sunshine provided a perfect backdrop for families and food enthusiasts alike to create lasting memories at this popular Manchester event.
A highlight for many attendees was the vast array of food and beverage stalls, offering everything from artisanal treats to exotic street food. One notable favourite, as shared by visitor Luke Holuj, was the distinctive alcoholic ginger beer stall, embodying the festival’s commitment to showcasing both traditional and innovative culinary delights.
Central to the festival’s dynamic appeal was the Live Cookery Theatre, which hosted an impressive lineup of 12 demonstrations. In partnership with The Great British Bake Off’s Makbul Patel, aspiring chefs and curious foodies gathered to glean insights and master new techniques from acclaimed culinary experts.
Complementing the rich culinary offerings, the Live Music Stage delivered a captivating soundscape with 13 live performances from the region’s most promising talents. Attendees swayed to the rhythms of various acts, including soloists, vibrant bands, intimate acoustic troupes, and harmonious choirs, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
The Live Entertainers Stage captivated audiences with a diverse range of performances, ensuring there was never a dull moment. Magic performances by Matthew J Magic and The Magic Matt Show, alongside engaging comedy shows and skilled ventriloquism from John Kimmons, provided continuous amusement for all ages.
Families found abundant entertainment through the festival’s cornerstone attractions, particularly the engaging Foodie Clue Quest Scavenger Hunt, which encouraged exploration of the expansive grounds.
