Manchester’s Luxury Hotel Offers Exquisite Pink Afternoon Tea Experience

Manchester’s King Street Townhouse is inviting guests to indulge in an extraordinary “pretty in pink” afternoon tea, a luxurious culinary journey designed to captivate the senses. This exclusive offering, in partnership with Laurent-Perrier, celebrates Afternoon Tea Week and extends a special invitation for late summer enjoyment.

Complementing the exquisite food selection, a wide array of premium teas from luxury brand Newby is available. For a truly harmonious pairing, the delicate floral varieties, such as strawberry and mango, are highly recommended, promising a rich taste and a beautifully sweet, lingering finish that elevates the entire dining experience.

Served within the opulent setting of the four-star hotel’s afternoon tea lounge, the savoury offerings present a sophisticated twist on classic flavours. Guests can anticipate delightful combinations including honey roast ham with mustard mayonnaise and watercress on tomato bread, cheddar cheese with tomato and chilli relish on countryside bread, smoked salmon with citrus cream cheese and cucumber on spinach bread, and a perfectly crafted chicken Caesar wrap.

The sweet array is a testament to culinary artistry, featuring a vibrant lemon and blueberry macaron, a refreshing raspberry, peach and rosemary cake, an indulgent caramel mocha tart, and a visually stunning strawberry and honey gateau. It is only when this gateau is sliced, revealing layers of honey syrup-soaked sponge, strawberry bavarois, and a vivid strawberry compote centre, that the immense time and effort dedicated to these delicacies becomes truly apparent.

While the official Afternoon Tea Week runs from August 11 to 17, King Street Townhouse extends its celebration throughout the entire month. Their exclusive “Afternoon Tea Week Offer” is available daily until August 31st, making it accessible for a prolonged period of enjoyment.

This special promotion, priced at £58 for two people, includes a complimentary glass of prosecco per person, adding an extra touch of sparkle to the experience. It’s important to note that this specific offer excludes Saturdays, ensuring prime availability on other days of the week.

Beyond the special offer, guests can choose from the standard Afternoon Tea or the High Afternoon Tea, which features additional savoury selections. These are regularly priced at £35 per person with tea, £47 with a cocktail, and £49 with a glass of Champagne, reflecting the premium quality and service. This experience solidifies King Street Townhouse’s reputation as a premier destination for luxury dining in Manchester.
