In a significant move that underscores evolving investment strategies, Beta Wealth Group Inc. has recently made a substantial acquisition of shares in the Vanguard Total International Stock ETF (VXUS), signaling a strong commitment to diversified global market exposure.

This strategic new position, disclosed during the first quarter, involved the purchase of 70,675 shares of the company’s stock, collectively valued at an impressive $4,389,000. For Beta Wealth Group Inc., this considerable investment now constitutes approximately 1.6% of its overall portfolio, solidifying VXUS as its 21st biggest holding.

The interest in VXUS is not isolated, as other prominent hedge funds and institutional investors have also actively adjusted their stakes. Notable examples include Bellevue Asset Management LLC, which dramatically increased its holdings by 171.5%, and WASHINGTON TRUST Co, which saw its holdings grow by 121.5% in the first quarter, reflecting a broader trend among major asset management firms.

Moreover, several new positions were initiated by firms such as Opal Wealth Advisors LLC, Dunhill Financial LLC, and Minot DeBlois Advisors LLC during the fourth and first quarters, respectively. From a market performance perspective, the VXUS stock opened at $68.24 on Friday, exhibiting a strong market capitalization of $94.89 billion. The fund also boasts a favorable PE ratio of 15.99 and a beta of 0.85, indicating a relatively stable performance compared to the broader market.

Analyzing its price trends, the Vanguard Total International Stock ETF maintains a 50-day moving average of $68.56 and a 200-day moving average of $64.59, suggesting a positive upward momentum over the medium term. Its trading range shows resilience, with a 52-week low of $54.98 and a 52-week high reaching $71.08.

The Vanguard Total International Stock ETF is designed to track the FTSE Global All Cap ex US index, providing comprehensive exposure to approximately 99% of the world’s global market capitalization outside the United States.
