Lake George Days 2025: Gems, Tractors, and Community Festivities Await

Prepare for an unforgettable experience as Lake George Days returns from August 15-17, 2025, offering a vibrant celebration of community spirit, antique machinery, and dazzling geological wonders. This annual event promises a weekend packed with diverse attractions, from the renowned Gem and Mineral Show to the powerful roar of a classic Tractor Pull, culminating in a heartwarming spaghetti dinner fundraiser.

The festivities kick off with the 26th Annual Lake George Gem and Mineral Show, a highlight for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Running all three days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., this esteemed show features numerous dealers presenting an exquisite array of mineral specimens, fossils, jewelry, and lapidary materials. Admission and parking are complimentary, inviting everyone to explore the treasures on display.

Beyond the impressive exhibits, the Gem and Mineral Show offers unique opportunities, including silent auctions held every half hour for eager bidders. Educational aspects are also central, with members available to identify visitor specimens and provide information about the Lake George Gem and Mineral Club, which uses dealer fees to fund scholarships for local students pursuing Earth Science studies.

Adding to the excitement, the Arkansas Valley Flywheelers Antique and Classic Tractor Pull will command attention on Saturday and Sunday. Spectators can witness vintage and classic tractors, ranging from 1938 models to those manufactured in 1990, showcase their might in a thrilling display of power and precision at Lake George Community Park.

The tractor pull schedule is designed for maximum enjoyment, with weigh-ins preceding the main events each day. Ribbons are awarded for first, second, and third place in each class, fostering friendly competition among participants. Free dry camping is also available at the park, encouraging enthusiasts to immerse themselves fully in the rural spectacle.

Community engagement extends to a vital fundraising initiative with the annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser. Hosted by the dedicated volunteers of the Lake George Fire Protection District (LGFPD) at Station One, this popular event on Saturday promises a delicious meal complete with salad, beverages, rolls, and dessert, all by donation.

The spaghetti dinner serves as a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors to support the LGFPD, meet the heroic volunteers, and even view their essential equipment. The atmosphere is further enhanced by live music, creating a convivial setting for this important community gathering that embodies local resilience and solidarity.

For those seeking additional ways to contribute, the LGFPD is also holding an online auction through August 18. This digital bidding opportunity allows participants to support the fire protection district from anywhere, offering a diverse array of items up for bid and extending the fundraising efforts beyond the physical event.

Lake George Days 2025 invites everyone to embrace the charm of this picturesque town. Whether you’re captivated by rare gems, thrilled by the power of antique tractors, or simply enjoying a delicious meal with friendly faces, the weekend promises a rich tapestry of entertainment, education, and community spirit.
